"I'm a simple man, there's no big mystery"
I'm Martin Pericles Anso; I'm not entirely sure why my parents chose 'Pericles', but I am happy that I escaped having an olde English middle name like my sisters (Winifred, Edith, etc).
I'm a New Zealander, born in the wee cow-town of Te Awamutu. Since Jan 2004, I've been living in Taiwan, first in Ping-tung, and from Apr 2005, in the rather larger city of Taipei in Taiwan
"Why did Mr Anso move to Taiwan?" I hear you ask. For the same reason that humanity was kicked out of the Garden of Eden: a woman. More specifically, my dear wife and princess, Shu-fen.
deep insights into mr anso's psyche
I like to think of myself as a simple person; many of the things I
enjoy in life are simple, like good food: dark chocolate, the stuff with 70%+ cocoa butter or whatever it is that makes it
taste so good; a fresh loaf of bread, preferably with a chewy but firm crust, and definitely not sweet - most of Taiwan's
bread is sweet; milky, creamy real ice-cream - Tip-top remains the king!;
fresh milk, best when it's from my parent's farm.......
..... um, I think there's an obvious reason why I'm getting a bit fat...
On the less material side of simple pleasures, I always enjoy how daylight sometimes changes into a soft glow after rain, although only in the evening.
